LE CROISIC This historic port sheltering from the ocean around the corner of the headland, is a more attractive place to stay than La Baule. These days it's basically a pleasure port, croisicbut fishing boats do still sail from its harbour, near the very slender mouth of the bay, and there's a modern fish market near the long Tréhic jetty, where you can watch the day's catch being auctioned. The hills on either side of the harbour, Mont Lenigo and Mont Esprit, are not natural; they were formed from the ballast left by the ships of the salt trade.

PIRIAC-SUR-MER is a charming granite seaside resort with a prestgious past. piriacThe village is a architectual gem with some of 17th centuy houses retaining their original character. Coastal paths, small beaches amid spectacular rocks an early must visit. The sand is very fine and white. The beach is very clean. The water is blue and is clear. PIRIAC-SUR-MER PLAGE is quite short and narrow. The beach is quite flat. There are places to eat and drink within a stone’s throw of the beach. The beach is easily accessible. There is good parking near the beach.

BATZ-SUR-MER batzThe normally quiet coastal village of Batz-sur-Mer goes a little crazy for 3 days in July with their Nuits Salines - salty nights of music and dance - culminating in a Fest Noz (Festival of the Night) which is a traditional Breton festival, similar to a ceilidh - with traditional music, dancing and drinking!!A charming and typical little marina, Saint Michel has an old-time feel during the summer season with its yellow dressing cabins.
There is a beach club for youngsters, providing numerous activities such as swimming lessons. The coastline is dotted with beautiful sandy coves great for shellfishing, sunbathing and swimming. The coves must be accessed via the coastal path, without damaging the surrounding vegetation. Early in a holiday it is essential-a must-to climb the church tower to have a superb panoramic view of most of the area.

LA TURBALLE Located between Le Croisic and Piriac, La Turballe was the most important turballeport for anchovies and sardines on the French Atlantic Coast. Be sure to visit the fishing harbour to see the different types of deep sea fishing boats. Adjacent is a large yacht marina.
